Thank you for visiting. We look forward to the opportunity to discuss our Golden Retrievers with you. We would like to start by saying that we are a personal, hands-on breeder. We lovingly raise each puppy born into our pack as if they will be our very own. Should you choose a CVHG Golden, you will become an extension of our pack family. In our family, we are there for one another.
Our Goldens are our personal pets. They live in our home and spend their days and nights as part of our family. Each puppy we raise is kept inside, cared for, played with, fed, observed, and socialized throughout each day, for the many weeks before leaving to go to their forever homes. We grow attached to them, and hope to stay in their lives into adulthood. Although they leave our home, they do not leave our hearts, as we have already bonded with them & made long-lasting memories.
Many of our new owners become our friends. We stay in each other's lives, answer questions, congratulate each other on puppy milestones reached; and share in life's moments. When you choose to raise a Concho Valley's Heavenly Golden, you have a support system and an extended family behind you. We are here for you as much, or as little, as you prefer. We share our own Golden experience prior to take home; and are available as your new puppy transitions into your home.
We are not just a breeder. We are a family raising puppies to hopefully bring joy, support, service and love to others that desire and need it. We are a part of your puppy's beginning, and hope to watch them grow up with you.

Our Story
Hi, my name is Tamie Tibbs. I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart, Robert, for 30 years. We have five beautiful children. Two are married, one is in college and we still have two teens at home.
From as far back as I can remember, I have dreamed of owning, raising and breeding Golden Retrievers. I have always been awe-struck by their beauty, sweet temperament and intelligence. For many years, I truly did not think that it would ever happen, as we were busy raising our family. In addition, we ended up moving from our house and hometown after my husband decided to go back to school later in life.
While I knew during that season of life, having a puppy, much less raising puppies, was not a realistic part of the picture, I held on to the dream nonetheless. I decided to spend "free" time learning all that I could, so that should the dream become a reality, we would be prepared. I researched Goldens, their behaviors, personalities, needs, history, temperament, health and so on. I learned so much and am still learning, as they each have their very own personality, temperament and needs, just as a human does. We joke now, saying we traded out children for furbabies.
In the early summer of 2017, we were finally able to once again settle down and buy our current home. After we bought our house and settled in, we began to talk more and more about the possibility of owning a Golden, and even more so, about the possibility of buying a pair to raise and eventually breed.
In November, 2017, we purchased our first two beautiful Golden Retriever babies. I had been searching long and hard for the ones meant for us. After several were literally sold/chosen while I was inquiring about them, I found a cute little baby boy in Missouri. We decided he was the one for us. My husband came home from work at 3:30 on a Friday, changed his clothes and loaded his truck. He said, "I'm going to get him for you baby." He drove throughout the night and met the breeders of our first boy, "Duke" the next morning. He drove back, stopping overnight in Oklahoma, before heading home on Sunday morning. I was elated to say the least!!!
Prior to him leaving Friday, I had inquired about a few different females. On Saturday, I was able to speak seriously with a breeder in New Mexico. She agreed to meet my older son and I halfway. So, low and behold, Sunday morning, my son, his wife and I all headed to New Mexico, to purchase our first sweet baby girl, "Darlin". We returned just a few short hours after my husband made it home with Duke. Thus, on Sunday, November 4, 2017, the first chapter of Concho Valley's Heavenly Goldens story began.
Fast forward a little over two years later to December, 2019. Ten tiny golden nuggets were born into our pack. We were hooked! During those precious eight weeks, we decided this was definitely the life for us! We loved every minute of it (except maybe for cleanup of the messy mush and potty pickup as they got older! Haha!)
It was during this time, we felt we should grow our pack by two. We chose to keep one of our sweet little girls, "Lady", who is our light golden dam. In January, 2020, we found our second, handsome sire, "Bosun", who is a beautiful red Golden from Kentucky.
Now our pack includes four beautiful Golden Retrievers and we are as happy as can be! And pretty busy too - We wouldn't have it any other way!
